Gatorade Raspberry Lemonade

Gatorade Raspberry Lemonade

What Is It: A sports drink flavoured like raspberry lemonade.

Packaging: It comes in the standard clear Gatorade bottle. The drink itself is pink. Looks fine.

6.5 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This one kind of let me down some.  It was a lot stronger on the raspberry flavour than the lemonade. Every drink was a punch in the mouth of raspberry with the slightest hint of lemonade. So in essence it was a lemon raspberryade. Not terrible but not as good as it could have been.

Circle Ranch Chicken Nuggets

Circle Ranch Chicken Nuggets

What Is It: A package of frozen chicken nuggets that I got at Dollar Tree.

Packaging: It comes in a red bag with a picture of the product on it. Solid if unspectacular.

5.5 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: These exceeded my expectations. The texture was good which is key for frozen nuggets. There isn't much flavour in the breading but if you have some ketchup or other dipping sauces available that can be overcome. For a dollar store product it's definitely good for a cheap snack. Probably not enough for a full meal though.

Jolly Rancher Crunch N Chew

Jolly Rancher Crunch N Chew

What Is It: These are chewable versions of the classic Jolly Rancher hard candy. The flavours include cherry, green apple, watermelon, and blue raspberry.

Packaging: It comes in a pretty blue bag with big pictures of fruit all over it. It looks pretty snazzy in my opinion.

Taste/ Final Analysis: I'm a big fan of the traditional Jolly Rancher hard candy so I naturally had to try this. It's kind of a hybrid in that you can suck on it if you want but it can be bitten into at any point without breaking your teeth. The flavours are all very pronounced and exactly what they should be for each fruit. As usual cherry was my favourite but I thoroughly enjoyed all of the flavours. The blue raspberry was particularly unique as well. Definitely a good candy to have at work in that it's easily portable and won't melt.

Goldfish Flavour Blasted Crackers

Goldfish Flavour Blasted Crackers

What Is It: The traditional cheddar flavour Goldfish cracker snack.

Packaging: Goldfish always go with their trademark sack for their packaging which always works for me. This one has their orange all over representative of the cheddar here. Good stuff.

8 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This is one of the classic snacks. The cheddar flavour is very prevalent here and the goldfish always have good texture to them. I tend to prefer eating them straight up but they have many uses like putting them in a salad as croutons or topping a casserole. A great snack.

Birthday Cake Cookie Dough Bites

Birthday Cake Cookie Dough Bites

What Is It: Little bite size pieces that are flavoured like cookie dough.

Packaging: The box looks really neat with the baby blue box done up with lots of birthday cake decorations on it. Looks awesome.

Taste/ Final Analysis: These were really delicious. They really combined the basic cookie dough flavour with the pizazz of birthday cake flavours. Kind of like frosted cookie dough bites. I highly recommend these.

Hostess Star Spangled Cupcakes

Hostess Star Spangled Cupcakes

What Is It: A patriotic themed vanilla cupcake that were out during the summer. I bought them around labour day.

Packaging: Very cool box with the red, white, and blue being very prevalent on the box and on the cupcakes. Looks really cool.

Taste/ Final Analysis: I've always been a fan of Hostess chocolate cupcakes and I actually think I liked these more. They didn't overdo the icing which is a big mistake a lot of folks make with cupcakes. There's a great balance of flavours between the vanilla of the cake and the flavours from the icing. The texture was really good too which was a big plus. I don't know how long they're going to be selling these but if you see them they're delicious.

M&Ms Peanut Butter

M&Ms Peanut Butter

What Is It: Peanut butter filled M&Ms.

Packaging: This was the fun sized version as it came in 6 small bags instead of one big bag. They use bright orange as the colour for the peanut butter one's and I think that looks pretty darn good. Gotta love the blonde red M&M too.

Taste/ Final Analysis: I tend to like these. They used a very sweet peanut butter which drives my wife crazy but I tend to like it. The combination of the chocolate and that very rich, sweet peanut butter makes me want to eat these. It also makes me want to chug several gallons of milk because of that richness too so beready for that. A solid take on M&Ms.

Philadelphia Cream Cheese

Philadelphia Cream Cheese

What Is It: Classic cream cheese.

Packaging: It comes in the unmistakable grey and white container. Not the most eye catching thing in the world but it is a classic, traditional package.
6 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: I know it's hard to make cream cheese stand out but I always kind of stick with Philadelphia. The texture is right, the flavour is right, and I rarely get the water on top which is a big turnoff for me. There are millions of applications for cream cheese and as you can see by my pictures I used it for ham and cream cheese rollups this time. There are lots of different flavours of cream cheese produced by Philadelphia many of which I will review but I think I like the original the best right now.

Heritage Farm Cooked Ham

Heritage Farm Cooked Ham

What Is It: Sliced lunch meat style ham.

Packaging: A lot of green writing with a picture of a fat ham sandwich in there. Got the job done.

7 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: As youcan see by my pictures I made ham and cream cheese rollups out of this ham. It worked very well in this application. The ham was thick enough that it didn't easily tear as I spread the cream cheese on it. The flavour was mostly good although it did have a bit of a wierd aftertaste. All in all this ham was good for this and would be just as good on a sandwich with some mustard. Thumbs in the middle tilting up for this.

DQ Cotton Candy Blizzard

DQ Cotton Candy Blizzard

What Is It: This Blizzard is a combination of vanilla soft serve ice cream with cotton candy flavoured pieces scattered throughout.

Presentation: Eh. I always think of cotton candy as really fluffy with vibrant colours. This Blizzard didn't really capture any of that in the looks department.
3 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: While it may not have looked the part they made up for that with cotton candy flavour because it was here in spades. Every bite was like a cotton candy sugar rush. It was almost too much. On the other hand I always complain about products not producing what was advertised and that certainly wasn't the case here. If you REALLY like cotton candy than this is for you. Everyone else get a small or you'll be quickly overwhelmed.
