Zero Bar

Zero Bar

What Is It: Caramel, peanut, and almond nougat covered with white fudge. It is a product of Hershey's.

Packaging: It comes in a silver wrapper with tje name large, front, and center. Looks cool.

Taste/ Final Analysis: The first thing I'll say is that I don't see this in many places. I usually see it at my local mini mart and that's about it.  That's a shame because this is a delicious candy bar. The white chocolate is so unique and different from what you normally taste in a candy bar and when you combine that with delicious innards of the nuts, caramel, and nougat it makes for a delicious candy bar. I definitely recommend it if you can find it.

Lays Southern Biscuits And Gravy

Lays Southern Biscuits And Gravy

What Is It: Biscuits and gravy flavoured potato chips.

Packaging: They come in a baby blue bag with a picture of biscuits and gravy on the bottom. Looks good.

7.5 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This was another one of those fan vote flavours. The gravy flavour is very prevalent as there's a cracked black pepper flavour as well as a nice creamy flavour. There isn't much biscuit flavour here although I'm not even sure how you would put that in a chip. In any case this is a quality chip.

Oscar Mayer Ham And Cheese Loaf

Oscar Mayer Ham And Cheese Loaf

What Is It: Sliced deli style ham with little cheese bits mixed in.

Packaging: Looks like most every other deli meat package. Definitely showcases the product which is good.

6 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This is actually one of my favourite deli meat products. First of all it's made by Oscar Mayer which means that it's a little more expensive but is high quality. The ham has a bit of sweetness but not as much as a honey ham. The cheese bits taste like American cheese and add a good flavour to the ham. I like to put this on a sandwich with some mustard or Miracle Whip.

Smoked Salmon Cheese Ball

Smoked Salmon Cheese Ball

What Is It: A cheese ball from the Kroger deli. It's got a crust made up of ground up salmon with a cheddar spreadable cheese in the center.

Packaging: Pretty simple with a black tray bottom and clear top with the product label on it. Gets the job done.

6 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This is a pretty unique snack. It's meant to be spread on a cracker or perhaps a slice of bread. The salmon flavour is very strong here but when you add in the sharp cheddar from the center of the ball it is a great combination. I wouldn't recommend trying to eat all of this in one shot as it can overwhelm you after awhile. However it's really good over the course of a week or so.

Fruit Loop Donut

Fruit Loop Donut

What Is It: A yellow cake doughnut with Fruit Loops on top and white icing. This is from the Kroger bakery. 3 come in a package.

Packaging: It came in clear plastic and a black tray on the bottom holding them.  Nothing too exciting.

4 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: Well the doughnut part was delicious. The cake part was fresh and the icing was delicious. The problem was in that the Fruit Loops were created around the time of the Big Bang. Seriously they had the consistency of Styrofoam. This was a great concept and if everythingwas fresh it would be great.  Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

Mike And Ike's Cherry Cola Candy

Mike And Ike's Cherry Cola Candy

What Is It: Cherry and cola flavoured pill shaped candy.

Packaging: There is lots of cool artwork with some cherries, soda, as well as some depictions of the product itself. As usual great boxes from Mike And Ike's.

9 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This is my favourite flavour I've had from Mike And Ike's maybe ever. The combination of the cherry and cola flavours is simply amazing. It really is like drinking a cherry pop with every bite. I can't recommend these highly enough.

Jack Links Teriyaki Beef Jerky

Jack Links Teriyaki Beef Jerky

What Is It: The title says it all.

Packaging: Jack Links has awesome colours on all of their products  (usually a red) and this one is no exception. Really cool.

8 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This is the sort of Jack Links that I see the most frequently. It's a really sweet flavour with little to no spice as is with most Teriyaki products that I've seen. That's probably why it's so common as it's a safe flavour that most anybody would like. The texture as usual was spot on. I prefer the Sweet And Hot to this but if you like jerky and don't like spice then this is for you.

Tic Tacs Mixers Cherry And Cola

Tic Tacs Mixers Cherry And Cola

What Is It: As you might have guessed it's cherry and cola flavoured Tic Tacs.

Packaging: They come in the trademark little Tic Tac tiny box coloured red this time for the cherry involved here. Looks good enough.

7 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: I've been a fan of Ric Tacs for a long time. Of all the great flavours they've had this is my favourite. The combination of cola and cherry is just totally epic here. Seriously I would never get tired of eating these. Unfortunately I've had a very difficult time finding these in my area (I got this pack in Pennsylvania). But if you can find these eat these. Or give them to me to eat.

Cow Tales Vanilla

Cow Tales Vanilla

What Is It: A candy made by the Goetz company that is sort of a string take on their bullseye candy. This one is vanilla flavoured with vanilla taffy surrounding creme in the center.

Packaging: This is a very well known and traditional candy and packaging to match. Lots of little, adorable cows on here as you would expect.

8 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: Despite this being vanilla flavoured it still tastes very similar to the original caramel Cow Tales. There is a slight difference as I can taste some vanilla but not a lot. It's a good candy but not quite vanilla-y enough. But it is cool eating a candy Slim Jim.

Lil Dutch Maid Butter Cookies

Lil Dutch Maid Butter Cookies

What Is It: A pack of butter cookies that I bought at Dollar Tree. They each have yes, no, or maybe engraved on them for some reason.

Packaging: Pretty simple. A clear plastic wrapper with some yellow on it. Good enough.

5.5 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: One of my favourite things to get at Christmas time is those tins with all of those different butter cookies in it. Those tins are what made me a fan of butter cookies. While these are not on the level of those this is not a bad take. Very basic but still has that delicious butter cookie taste to it. And for a buck there's a ton of cookies in there too. Definitely a great deal.

Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies

Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies

What Is It: Soft oatmeal sandwich cookie things with cream in the middle.

Packaging: As all Little Debbie products this box looks very good. Lots of huge pictures of the product on here. Good enough.

7 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This is another of the classic products from Little Debbie. You'd better like oatmeal a whole lot because that flavour is definitely prevalent here. The cream in the middle is very welcome here too as it does break up that oatmeal flavour a bit. All in all a good snack if not a bit one note.

Sweettart Sours

Sweettart Sours

What Is It: A chewy, sour version of Sweettarts. They come in the same flavours and colours as regular Sweettarts.

Packaging: Looks almost identical to a regular roll of Sweettarts. They could have changed it a bit in my view. They took the lazy way out here.

4 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: Despite the lazy packaging the product is delicious. They are very, very sour as you would expect. The grape, purple ones are fine and probably have the least amount of sour. The green, lime ones are probably a level up on sour. The orange ones are very sour and very delicious on top of it. The pink, cherry ones are probably a mid level of sourness but sour cherry is freaking awesome so I'll eat these every day of the week. And finally theres the blue raspberry which is my favourite. It's the sourest of all and just awesome to eat. It's a tremendous product and one I would definitely recommend.

A1 Bold Sauce, Kroger Jumbo Sesame Hamburger Buns, And Homestyle Beef Patties

A1 Bold Sauce, Kroger Jumbo Sesame Hamburger Buns, And Homestyle Beef Patties

What Is It: This review is primarily about the A1 sauce as I was using the burgers and buns as the canvas of sorts to this sauce. The sauce is a steak sauce with Tabasco sauce added to it to make it spicy.

Packaging: It's in the very recognizable A1 bottle with the only change being a little Tabasco graphic and a green ring around the neck of the bottle saying bold and spicy. Looks good.

7 out of 10

Taste/ Final Analysis: This is a tremendous steak sauce. It has the great flavour of the original A1 (which I noticed I haven't done yet. That'll have to change) with the addition of Tabasco sauce to give it an impressive kick. It'll get your attention for sure. I love putting steak sauce on hamburgers and it worked really well for that. A side note about the burgers and buns both Kroger brand products. They did very well on both of these especially the buns as those were soft, doughy, and delicious. Winners all around here.
